No followers. No website. Just a clear plan and a borrowed table.
If you’re sitting there wondering “Can I actually make money doing luxury picnics?”—this one's for you. Because when I launched my business, I wasn’t some influencer with a huge following. I didn’t have fancy equipment. I didn’t even have a full website (Heck, I purchased stock photos from Shutterstock because I didn't have literally anything!)
But I had a vision.
And I had the ASB Method™ (though I didn’t know that’s what I was building yet 😉).
Here’s exactly how I booked my first paying clients in week one—and how you can too.
👋 Step 1: I Picked a Date and Made it Real
Instead of overthinking it, I chose a launch date, posted a simple “Something fun is coming!” teaser on social media, and started telling friends and family.
Spoiler: Accountability works wonders when you want to chicken out.
I didn’t wait for the perfect logo. I didn’t wait until I had “all the things.” I just committed to getting one booking.
🧺 Step 2: I Created One Irresistible Offer
No big menu. No complicated add-ons.
Just one beautiful, 2-person luxury picnic experience at a discounted rate for my first few clients (my “founding special”). I made sure it was profitable even at that rate—then positioned it as a “VIP soft launch offer.”
Why this worked:
People love feeling like insiders. I wasn’t asking for bookings—I was inviting them to be part of something new and exciting.
📸 Step 3: I Set It Up and Snapped Every Angle
My first setup was for a friend’s anniversary. I styled it in my backyard, used pillows I already had, a table my neighbor let me borrow, and printed menus I made in Canva.
And then I treated it like a full brand shoot. I took:
-
Overhead shots
-
Close-ups of the food
-
Video snippets of the setup process
-
A few fun selfies for Instagram Stories
This became my first Showcase content.
📱 Step 4: I Posted With Purpose
I didn’t just post pretty pictures. I used captions that:
-
Highlighted what the experience felt like
-
Shared how easy it was to book
-
Created FOMO (“Only 2 founding spots left!”)
I followed the ASB Method™ before it even had a name:
-
Attract: Teaser posts + curiosity
-
Showcase: BTS, results, styled shoot
-
Book: Clear CTA + urgency
And guess what?
I booked my first 3 clients by the end of the week.
💸 Step 5: I Reinforced the Win
I reinvested that money into more picnic gear and styled another setup—this time just for photos. That one went viral locally and led to even more bookings.
Momentum builds when you take action. Period.
🎉 Final Thoughts
The truth? You don’t need perfection to launch.
You need clarity, confidence, and a content strategy that actually converts.
That’s what I teach now inside The Picnic Business Academy—and if you’re reading this, you’re so close to turning your vision into income.
